Grace loves music!

I put Grace’s favourite songs on my new noise-cancelling headphones, including Eros Ramazzotti and George Michael. Grace sang along, and it was the most active and engaged I’d seen her in a while. Isabel is worried that the headphones will get damaged if I leave them with Grace, so she kindly offered to bring in her own headphones. The nurses are trying headphones on another resident, but it doesn’t seem to have the same calming effect, even when playing classical music.

I brought cakes to the care home, and Maria mentioned that I always pick things that the residents like. It felt like being at home, sitting in front of the TV with my feet up, as you can see in the photo.

My colleagues seem to be worried about my contract review that’s due at the end of July, but I’m not too concerned. Let’s see what happens.  One colleagues has suggested that I take on a more critical role, which is really nice of him, but focus is on Grace.  I don’t want to shoulder any additional responsibilities.

I’ve decided to go to Manchester in early May to visit Ian, Geraldine, and Jody. I’m looking forward to seeing friends.
