A nurse thinks I am resident 😂

I haven’t slept well, but I don’t care. At one point, I leaned over too much and the bed flipped up. I’m just happy to have slept with Grace.

I get up at 8:00 a.m. and walk past one of the living rooms. The morning shift of nurses is having a team meeting. Ha ha, they are all laughing and say good morning, asking if I need help with a shower. This feeling of community makes such a difference to my well-being.

I gives me coffee and follows up with toasties later. I decide to stick around and work from the care home.

Later, there is an amusing moment. One of the interim nurses is preparing for the residents’ lunch and mistakenly sets a place for me, thinking I am a resident. C and I are laughing so much. I am clearly spending too much time in the care home.

Later, I takes on the historic role of Grace. She shaves the hair off the back of my neck and does my armpits! Thank you, Isabel!

Looking Fatter and Fatter

I’m gaining weight rapidly. Oh my God, I saw myself in the mirror last night and I look awful. It took three months of eating junk food to end up like this. Thank goodness the Allen Carr diet course starts at the beginning of July.

My Heart is Breaking over Grace

After spending over 24 hours at the care home, I was in tears when I left Grace, knowing I won’t see her for a week. I’m sure Femke could see how upset I was, and she made a point of telling me to enjoy myself. F tells me how old she is, and I’m impressed. Like R, they both come across as responsible and self-starters. They should be super proud of themselves.
