Cooking for the Residents

I went to the care home first thing this morning upon the instructions of M 😊. I was there to go shopping with C and collect various items needed to prepare dinner for the residents. After a brief discussion with C, I decided to make shepherd’s pie and a fresh fruit salad with plums, grapes, peaches, and mint.

Preparing dinner was fantastic. Two of the residents and three staff members helped, and we finished in no time at all. Unfortunately, I couldn’t stay longer as I needed to be home for the Sleep Consultant.

Later, I heard that all the food was eaten up and that next time I should prepare more. I am super happy to have made a small contribution today by buying the meat for the meal. Despite everything else going on, the residents had nothing to do with it and were super nice, along with several of the nurses. So, where is the gossip coming from?

Gossiping

Whoever is gossiping at the care home seems to be in control of the narrative and its a negative narrative, while those who have been helping me and Grace appear to be facing a hard time. This feels highly unfair, especially since some of the things being said are exaggerated and not based on facts.

Sleep Consultant

The sleep consultant arrived around 17:30 and hooked me up with a small device that contains various parts for my body. I was informed that I couldn’t go out, and the way I was hooked up made it feel like I couldn’t do much either. So, I ordered a Shawarma (a kebab dish) online and settled down to watch Netflix on my iPad.

By the end of the day, I felt much better. I’ve moved on from the ******** (censored) incident.
