Off to the Library
Yesterday I had a good afternoon with Grace in the library. She listened to Boyzone and Take That, whilst I learnt some more Spanish. I so enjoy being with Grace. She was super tired though and perhaps because she normally sleeps in the afternoon. We ended up both falling alseep. See also our instagram post.
Care home focus on me? and not Grace?
Reading the Care Home portal regards, where the record events throughout the day on Grace. Though it reads like there is more focus on me and less on Grace. With lots of information on when I pick Grace up and return her. Even recording that I got irritated the other week, over making arrangements to take Grace to the Gemeente (Council). There is very little on a) on the time she gets out of bed b) her eating and drinking c) on activities she does and social interaction with others d) her emotional well being and e) and how long she sleeps in the afternoon.
Improving Grace’s Diet
Good news is that the nurse yesterday kindly recorded that I want Grace to eat more healthy things. Though as I said to the nurse I am concerned about Grace’s weight, particularly as she sits in the wheelchair all day. Grace needs healthy food which does not add to her weight and place more stress on her heart.
Feeling better and better day by day
I am started to feel better and better each day, getting the other side of COVID. Even food starts to taste nice again. I made a pear and pine nut salad in the evening which tasted really good.
