Where Is Hans?
As agreed through the lawyers, I showed up for lunch at Hellige Boontjes café at Eendrachtsplein in Rotterdam, but there was no sign of Hans from Laurens. Not impressed! Nevertheless, I enjoyed my lunch.
Spending Precious Time with Grace
Grace is declining, slowly but surely. However, she seems happy and relaxed now. You might ask how I mean she is declining. She moves less, and her interactions are becoming slower.
I spent most of the day at the care home, working while Grace was in the living room with other residents. In other words, we were not together. I feel very disconnected from Grace. Sorry, Grace; I don’t know what to do about it.
So Happy I Left UBDS
Reflecting back, I’m so glad I left UBDS two years ago. There was a horrible dip during that phase and for a few months afterward. Since then, I’ve been living life according to my values and have, in my opinion, become a better person as a result. I’ve also gained so much self-confidence and a real sense of freedom. I just wish I could have shared more of this with Grace. It seems terrible that what has happened to her has led to this personal transformation in me.
