Wonderful Call with Grace
I had a twenty-minute conversation with Grace today. She was awake and so engaging; it made my day. I’ve realized I need to catch her after lunch, but not too late in the day. Before talking to Grace, I was upset and in tears. I was about to jet ski and felt guilty for doing something fun without her. It’s okay to feel this way.
Cabo Frio
I drove to Cabo Frio and hired a jet ski for two hours, taking a ride out on the open sea. It was incredibly liberating. The weather was beautiful, around 30–34°C, and the sea was the perfect temperature.
I’ve decided to head down to Paraty next week for nearly a week, then back up to Rio before heading to Buenos Aires. The amazing thing is that I’ve only been here for 9 out of 21 days, but it feels so much longer.
