I’m here on Isla Mujeres, near Cancun, Mexico. It’s a bit rustic yet touristy, which is fine. I’m really enjoying my time here and feel super relaxed. I went to bed at 2 PM yesterday and didn’t get up until now, which is 2:20 AM. I’ve been peeing regularly, and I’m not sure why. I don’t think I have diabetes since I don’t have other symptoms (hunger, thirst, fatigue, blurred vision).
I’ve been eating and drinking well. Everyone here caters to US tourists in terms of food and drink, and tips are expected, just like in the US.
I’ve definitely learned a lot about writing books; I can tell that I’m approaching this current project very differently.
Ditching My Next Book Idea
I think I’m going to ditch the 150-year-old me concept. It doesn’t align with the types of books I want to write. However, the other book doesn’t have a compelling story at the moment. Bugger! I’ll get there. My books need to be based on real life.
I feel like I’m living life to the fullest. It doesn’t feel tiring; it feels easy because there’s rhythm and an evolving path. I don’t worry about the destination; I just enjoy the journey.
