Drinking Again
Did I miss two days of my journal? I’ve been drinking every day again, even during the day. It needs to stop. Drinking seems to be the norm here in Brazil, including strong spirits.
Phone Still Not Working Properly
I spent €350 to fix my phone, but it still isn’t right. The Face ID and power button don’t work. I think the best option, when I get home, is to buy a new phone. I could keep throwing money at this one and find that things still don’t work.
Bus Ride Back to Rio
I had a 4+ hour bus ride back to Rio today. The journey was still horrible, despite being a luxury bus. I felt so sick. But I made it and checked into a nice hotel in Ipanema.
My broken phone is annoying me. I can’t call an Uber at all since the double-click button doesn’t work and the Face ID is also unresponsive.
I’ve been listening to Alison Moyet today and got such a boost from “Love Resurrection!”
I feel like having some nice wine this evening, with ice-cold water.
Getting Back to Writing
It’s been two weeks off so far. Now is the time to focus on the book, get it done this week, and make some headway on the third book. There’s so much to add for the third book about Brazil. There has to be a chapter in there about being ‘fatigued.’
