Grace and myself went out with the British expat community in Rotterdam last night, meeting at the food hall on Wilhelminaplein. Everyone was really engaging with her and Grace was equally so. I dropped Grace off around 2115 and returned to spend the rest of the evening with the guys.
I have bought the PlayStation and I am not using it. Why oh why did I buy it? The same thing happened with the model railway board. I see to reminisce and think I’ll enjoy doing things I have done in the past. Ah its ok!
Reading a new book called the 48 Laws of Power. Super interesting how people either manipulate their position to gain power or misunderstand their position and lose power.
I was asked about my challenges at the care home. We discussed the fact that it really came down to a small group of people, a really toxic and angry nurse, a team leader who needs to have been conveniently moved into another role and Laurens management. There are a couple of other ‘white nurses’ who seems to be supporting the toxic nurse, but I think they are blindly following. One of the those I met last night had worked in social care for many years and said that the nurse who called Grace a prostitute would normally be fired immediately elsewhere. I’ve reported the matter to the police now and called out the name of the alleged nurse. This is the same nurse who does not like doing any work and hides away in the office to avoid doing things and chats via video calls with her friends in the office, even though residents and family members come in. My advice to is don’t trust ‘Siri’ and stay well clear of us.
Wow its own 9 weeks until Christmas week. Lots to be done between now and then. Though frankly with my work, spending time with Grace and my book, there is little time to do much else.
