I am frustrated. Seems I have become an unnecessary topic of discussion at the care home. In my opinion it has been so poorly handled. So much so that I need to consider options, which impacts both me and Grace.
The P at care home has complained about me, regards doing a work call in the living (see earlier post of this). I made a mistake. Focus on the residents rather than me.
As I mentioned in yesterday’s update, someone has made some comment to P2 how I put Grace into the car and take her out. I’ve talked things through with the P2, and her advice was to use a plastic bag to help swivel Grace in the chair and to take care of my back. I’ve also forwarded on the photos. Also I have showed photos to demonstrate that the nurses are doing. Because in fact I have done it very few times (less than the fingers on my hand).
Next its the matter of the blog.
I recognise the blog shares a lot, but it is very much centred about my experience and if you read the content there is very little overall about the care home and the staff. Except where it impacts me and Grace. I have not in anyway shared my wider observations on how the care home and its specific staff perform (except if positive) nor some more specific matters. My view though is becoming tainted of the care home.
Guess what, if I said everything I’d create so much more discomfort. As the saying goes, be careful what you wish for.
Next I’ll be an agenda item for the team meeting?
Those making the comments need to focus on the right things. I am irrelevant.
