The medication is definitely helping Grace sleep better

Grace is doing just fine! I hear she’s enjoying peaceful slumbers each night, like a serene sleeping beauty. As for me, well, I’m experiencing a slight dip again, not enough to send me diving into the abyss, but enough to make me go “Hmm.”

Dutch Directness = Excuse to be rude!

What’s the deal with some Dutch people proclaiming their “Dutch directness” l? The moment I hear those words uttered before or after a message aimed at me or others, I can’t help but think, “Here it comes, the perfect excuse for rudeness!” In reality, most Dutch people are quite polite and sensitive to others. And you know what’s even more amusing? When you respond with the same directness they’ve dished out, they squirm uncomfortably. 

Living Dinner

I had a delightful surprise. A few kind souls from work actually want to have a farewell dinner with me. How lovely! It warms my heart to know that I’ve left a mark, or maybe they just want an excuse to eat good food. Either way, I’m grateful for the gesture.

I am still not searching for new work!

Now, one might think that with my impending departure, I should be diligently searching for new work. But alas, I find myself in a state of supreme chillness. Maybe a little too chilled. 

I’ve agreed with a colleague  to continue not giving me details of negative rumours or facts floating around the office about me. It does not help him or me.  He needs to protect his integrity.

I’m looking ahead, not backward.
