Grace came the apartment, where we enjoyed tea, cake, and music together.
It was struggle getting up the stairs but we made it. Two flights took her 30 minutes. I know she tried with all the will she had and I was so impressed. We had to go up two floors and had to take a couple of breathers, but we got that. There were so parts where I just had to carry her.
But I am so pleased she can see what I have done to the apartment. I was concerned she would never see it again. We lay sprawled out on the sofa and it felt ‘normal’.
It’s also worth calling out that I’m so grateful for the positive impact the staff at Grace’s care home have on my mental well-being.
Passed My First Two Dutch Exams (Diploma Staatsexamen Nt2)
I received the results of my Dutch exam and was relieved to have passed both the reading and listening exams, even though I just barely passed one of them. It’s an accomplishment I’m proud of, as I’ve reached a higher level of competency in a language than I did in school.
The Book Complete and Ready to be Published
My book is complete, and I used ChatGpt to do the final proof read. I deleted some potentially problematic sentences but know that some content will still cause negative reactions from readers. I need to confirm with Angela that we’re ready to send it to the person I found on Fiverr.
I felt absolutely exhausted despite not doing much throughout the day. I wasn’t feeling well, so I ended up in bed by 8 PM. Unfortunately, I woke up at midnight and couldn’t sleep for an hour, then woke up again at 5 AM.
