Flights Booked
It’s booked, I am flying out to Perth later next week. Stopping over in Hong Kong. Then on my return I am going to spend some time in Bali and then a little bit of time in Dubai. I’ve told Grace this evening, I hope she understand, and I hope I she is ok with it. I feel really torn about spending a little bit of extra time in Bali, though as Hans said to me it’s a long way jus for Perth for two weeks.
I must admit I am looking forward to going to Bali, the place looks amazing including the hotels on offer.
No Casino, No Brazilian Dinner, Argentinian Dinner and Ice Cream
We had a bit of an odd evening out. It started off drinking on the terrace at a bar before we headed up to Holland Casino. I thought that going to the Casino would be a bit of fun for us, doing stuff that we would otherwise do. Whilst queuing up we were approach by the Manager. He said was not possible for Grace to come in during rules about Grace and her being of sound mind. I did say she was not going to play the tables and it was pretty obvious she could not. Apparently there had been an incident in the past and they were merely doing what their management team said. I know they meant well, so I let go and we left. Holland Casino (hc.nl)
I then though, why don’t we go to the Brazilian restaurant nearby. We go inside to find it quite busy, though the real challenge was huge steps everywhere. It was impossible for me to get Grace up the steps with the wheelchair. We had to leave. Rodizio | Brazilian Restaurant
I then went to the Argentinian restaurant nearby. Reluctantly they let us in, though it took about five minutes of them decided if it was feasible. It’s a small restaurant and some diners have to get up to allow us part. But the food was good. Los Toros – Grill Restaurante Argentino (los-toros.nl). The food was spot on.
We then finished off with an ice cream at Venezia on the Oude Binnenweg.
Grace Care
I spoke with Wendy this evening regards a few concerns about Grace. I am worried about her swollen feet, concerns her mouth gums might be irritated and she has tears which suggests she might not be sleeping well. Wendy said she would address.
Reflecting
I am very content currently. I don’t need much more now. Maybe a Playstation 5 😊.
Having to take Grace out in the evenings is a blessing in disguise. I am doing stuff with her that I would have otherwise done pre dementia, walking, driving out to the countryside, shopping for clothes, eating out and drinking at bars. We are both happy.
