I had a somewhat lazy day yesterday. I’ve started working on my second book again. The words are there; it just needs a chapter-by-chapter read-through. I managed to get through just over 20 of the 160 pages yesterday. As soon as this book is done, I am on to my third.

I also spotted our first book in the library 😊. I am so proud that we’ve come this far.  A second part to the book is going to follow in the new year.

I took Grace to Den Haag (The Hague) last night, and we had chips with peanut and mayonnaise sauces (patatje oorlog). She is in wonderful spirits, and I genuinely love every moment I spend with her, and I am pretty sure it is reciprocal.

I brought back to the care home some bottled water and fruit salad for Grace. I want her to avoid drinking fruit juices with a high sugar content. The nurse, to whom I gave the items, was really nice and supportive about it. She mentioned that Grace had also eaten the prawn salad earlier.

I watched the dreadful story about the abuse Jimmy Saville caused to patients in hospitals and young teenage fans on BBC iPlayer. As the series says, he got away with it for years, often in plain sight. He surrounded himself with people in high authority who would (prefer to) ignore complaints from others.
