I slept well for a good chunk of last night, from around 6 PM to 10 PM. Having worked until 4 PM, I was shattered. Because I slept so early, I couldn’t stay asleep through the night.
I arrived early this morning and helped Grace with breakfast. She is in good spirits, but she also seems tired.
Ready for Brazil
My bag is mostly packed for Brazil, except for a few items I want to wear this week or don’t want to get excessively wrinkled in the bag. I’m not sure if my combined 45L + 15L bag is enough. Oh well, I’ve paid for it now and will just have to make it work. It’s a nice, smart bag too. I can always buy another one in Brazil if necessary.
Keeping in Contact with Grace While Away
I’ve spoken with the care home about messaging Grace every day or two. I’ll call in the afternoon after 2 PM. I need to get her iPad sorted for this.
Dinner with Grace
I spent the evening with Grace and helped her with dinner. I’m so happy that I’ve taken responsibility for something.
Grace’s Mother
I dropped a note to Caroline, saying they all need to realize that Grace is getting worse. I also asked Carma to give the kids their mother’s jewelry. Coincidentally, Carma came on the metro while I was already on there at lunchtime. She looked uncomfortable. I have no time for that woman at all.
