Snorkelling in Mexico

Snorkelling in Mexico

So much has happened. Yesterday, I went snorkeling, and it was great to swim with the fish. I burned my back in the process and now feel sore around my shoulders and shoulder blades.

Over the last few days, I’ve been working to ensure I profit take more often from the market. It takes no more than an hour of my time, and it’s fun. So far, it’s covering my expenses—aside from being ripped off by the car hire.

I’ve come to Valladolid, which is a short distance from Chichen Itza—about 40 minutes by car. The hotel is amazing, with an old colonial style. I paid £38 for it, which is incredible; I couldn’t even get a dump of a hotel in the UK for that price.

I find the Mexican people super friendly and kind. Of course, they expect tips, but they’re relaxed and easy-going. They only speak Spanish in Valladolid, which is nice because it encourages me to learn.

Missing Grace

I miss Grace. I’ve just been to the church to pray for her, Rutger, and Sarah. I can keep my strength up now with the kids, but the time is coming to return to see Grace. She has been, is, and will always be in my heart.

My time off has given me the chance to reflect and think. I’m creating a new journey for myself, year by year—evolution rather than revolution. Unlike in Brazil, I’m not ticking off holiday must-dos. I don’t want to leave (except to see Grace). I’m living an amazing lifestyle.

I’m so grateful for the opportunities I have. It’s amazing! I’ll get—or should I say, keep—the balance right!

More physical exercise is required…
