Trip to Rotterdam Court, Power of Attorney Sorted

Today, Grace and I went to the court in Rotterdam to attend a hearing (or “zitting” as they call it in Dutch) for a Power of Attorney. Although we already had a UK Power of Attorney, we needed a Dutch one as well. And we got it! I and M were wonderful once again, assisting me and Grace. Everything they do comes from the heart.

I love the fact that today was a bit of an adventure for me and Grace. We sat together in front of the judge, and I conducted the entire proceeding in Dutch (Ik ben supertrots op mezelf). The judge was a kind individual and took the time to explain everything to me in detail, making an effort to help me understand how the Power of Attorney works in the Netherlands.

… and when I informed work that I was out this afternoon because I needed to go to court, someone immediately called and asked, “Why do you need to go to court!” 🤣🤣 Let’s keep them guessing 🤣🤣
